About Me
Hello! Even though this only my fourth year teaching, I have been working in Special Education for over 16 years. I have a Masters degree in Special Education and Bachelors of Science in Psychology from University of Phoenix. I am certified in Direct instruction for Reading and Math and Intensive Small Group Instruction for Reading, Writing, and Math. I have a heart for children and I'm very passionate about making sure that I give every student the best education possible. I truly believe that it takes a village to raise a child. I look forward to working with you and your family to establish the most effective and rewarding educational program for your child. With a little love, hard work, and dedication, there is nothing we can't accomplish.

About Wake County Special Education Services
Special education is specially designed instruction, at no cost to the parent, to meet the unique needs of the child with a disability. Related services are adjunct services such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, etc. that are necessary for the child to benefit from their special education services. Children are determined eligible for special education services based on federal and state laws and procedures. The federal law that mandates special education services is the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
